They sell tickets for their Car Wash. These are made up well in advance. They sell these for a couple of months, then the day of the Car Wash, they set up and start their Car Wash. People either forget, or as they drive by, they see a line and decide that they will come back later.
The Young Marines sell several thousand tickets but only have to was a couple of hundred cars at the most. I have heard from last year's ALC, that they have earned up to $10,000.
